1. What this policy covers
This policy explains how MechStress uses cookies and similar technologies (such as browser local storage and pixels) on www.mechstress.com, and how you can control them. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
2. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies (like local storage) work in the same way. They can be “strictly necessary” (needed for the site to work) or optional (for example, analytics that help us understand how the site is used).
3. Your choices & consent
When you first visit, we show a cookie banner. Strictly necessary cookies are always active because the site cannot function without them. Analytics cookies are only set after you click “Accept all” — if you choose “Reject all”, no analytics cookies are set and our analytics tool is not loaded.
You can change or withdraw your choice at any time by clicking “Cookie settings” in the footer of any page. Your preference is stored for up to 12 months, after which we ask again. You can also delete cookies and block them through your browser settings.
4. Categories we use
- Strictly necessary — required to operate the site and remember your cookie choice. Always on; no consent required.
- Analytics (optional, consent required) — help us understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it. Off by default until you accept.
We don’t run our own advertising, retargeting or marketing cookies, and we place no ad pixels on this site. Note: if you accept analytics, Microsoft (our analytics provider) may set an identifier such as MUID that Microsoft can also use for its own analytics and advertising purposes.

6. Microsoft Clarity (analytics)
With your consent, we use Microsoft Clarity to collect usage data and anonymised session recordings/heatmaps. Clarity is provided by Microsoft and helps us see how the site is used so we can improve it. Learn more in Microsoft’s privacy documentation. If you reject analytics, Clarity is not loaded and sets no cookies.
7. International data transfers
Some providers (for example Microsoft Clarity) may process data outside the EU/EEA, including in the United States. Where this happens, transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and/or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, as applicable.
8. Managing cookies in your browser
